As marketers, it can be challenging to develop content for all your communication channels. Involvement in your industry is necessary for producing any type of marketing content. From social media posts like Snapchat to Message on Hold content for your phone, you want to keep your callers up-to-date and informed while presenting your institution as a leader in the industry.
I’m sure you’ve seen those tweets about “Celebrate National Margarita Day! Join us for Half Price Margaritas!” Well, for those in the healthcare industry there are wellness observance days. Maybe a wellness observance day doesn’t sound as exciting as National Margarita Day, but these are important observances for those in the health and wellness fields and a great opportunity to build marketing content.

Now you may be thinking well how does this relate to our services or what we do here? There is a list of wellness observance months, weeks, and days. It’s more than likely that something on that list will relate to a preventative procedure offered, new facility equipment, or even a specialty of one of the doctors. This content can be used not only to keep callers interested, but remind them why visiting their local healthcare facility is important. A Message on Hold script can be informative, but they can raise awareness to other issues and how they can be prevented. Let’s take a look at those Wellness Observance Days of July and see some examples of what we can share.
Cord Blood Awareness Month-
Cord Blood Awareness Month is July. Cord Blood can be life-saving. According to Cordbloodawareness.org, more than 90% of stem cells in cord blood are discarded as medical waste. Cord blood is valued due to the high amount of stem cells. Healthcare facilities involved in blood research, stem cell research, or umbilical cord processing may find this content valuable to use. Not only can this be made into a social media post, but it can added into a Message on Hold recording.
